Happy midsummer! I wasnot able to make a bonfire so I used a small candle. I know that the ashes from a bonfire are for fertility and protection. How should I use the candle?

If you burned the candle all the way down to a lump of wax, you can use that wax to fashion some kind of small charm to carry with you. Or you can bury it, or burn it completely in a cauldron, or throw it into a river as an offering.
If you haven't burned the candle all the way down, reserve it as your fertility/protection candle and burn it only for those uses.
Good luck.

Happy Midsummer to you as well! I would say that you use the candle in the same banner, like a mini bonfire. You could save the extra wax and bury it. Best wishes with that!

It depends on if your candle was blessed or charged for a certain reason before you used it. If not, then I'd keep it for later use for other spells. You can also melt it down and make a wax figure in fertility spells, since you did use it today.

Happy Midsummer to you, too!!

Use the candle as a symbol of fertility, or save it and melt it together with the left overs of the candles that you use for the other holidays, to make a new candle representing the entire year.

that all depends on whether you blessed, charged, annointed, or otherwise dressed your candle, for the purpose of fertility or protection, if you have not done any of those things then you can use the candle for a light source during a power outage, or for a candlelight dinner with significant other... it cannot be charged with intent or dressed after it has already been burned. (magical tools are best if they are bought and unused by you before blessing charging or consecrating...and full price should be paid, dont dicker for the price) If you did dress it, then it can be used for the same purpose in another ritual, or spell. I keep my candles seperated in a shoe box in paper lunch bags, to keep thier purposes in order, I label each lunch bag, "healing" "protection" "illuminators", etc... other wise you could follow any of the other pagan advice on this question, burn it down, make a charm, bury it etc etc etc. Happy Litha... enjoy your summer! may the blessings of the mother be upon you!

Happy midsummer as well!
Keep the candle for future spells involving fertility or protection

Happy Solstice to you!

My suggestion for the remainder of your candle would be to ask the Goddess for a special blessing upon Yourself and your Family and then under the next Full Moon - bury the candle on your property as a gift back to Mother Earth.

Bright Blessings!

Most of the answers you got are great ones, ignore the one that do not apply. I will agree that you can use it again specific to the fertility and protection rituals. But also I think it would be best to bury it or to release it into a fast to medium flowing stream with a prayer to your chosen Goddesses and Gods. This way the protection and fertility will come back to you. A wonderful thing for you and an offering to great Mother Earth.

Greetings, you can do a couple of things with it. First off you can save it for next year, as a carry over. You can also use it in other rituals that deal with fertility or protection (it would be rather potent). The best thing wouldv'e been to let it burn down, but I undestand with todays busy world and saftey precautions it is not always possible. I hope this helps. Brightest blessings
