I like Chandler best, he's the funny guy and has great deal of body gestures that are non-imitable

All have their very own characteristics, I like Joey because of his stupidity and sense of humour, but I'm most impressed by Pheebe, super crazy woman, and she has tons of very different/abnormal thoughts (good and bad), somehow similar to my girlfriend :-s, really rare, you can't easily find such person.

I loved Joey. He was so underrated. Matt LeBlanc is very intelligent in real life so his Joey was really great. The "How YOU doing?" always killed me. And the episode where he has a hernia on his side and has to shoot that show...classic. And when he was in love with Rachel and tried to tell himself that she was just his friend, then when he saw her, he goes, "That's my girlfriend." Too funny. Joey and Chandler had such a great relationship, too. The duck and the chicken. Killer. Rachel was my favorite female, the time she made the English trifle and screwed up the ingredients by adding ground beef and peas in addition to the sweet dessert layers...wow...and Joey ate it anyway.

Agreed. For the guys definitely Chandler. He has the best lines on the show.
For the girls definitely Phoebe. My fave "Phoebe moment" is the episode where she proves Ross isn't all that righteous as he takes himself to be. In that episode, Ross was trying to explain evolution & Phoebe made him speechless.

while i was reading the answers, i tried to think who was my favourite character and i couldnt! thats the beauty of friends, all the characters were kooky and lovable...one thing though, no one mentioned ross? he was funny too...remember when he went to whiten his teeth and when he went on a date his teeth glowed in the dark? and the way he goes "We were on a BREAK" to Rachel...they are all are great! Chandler's "Could you BE anymore annoying?" all their mannerisms are funny...
