I definitely prefer Disney any day. The main thing that really disappoints me about Universal is how rude there employees are to there guests (read my story here http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgQQJ0varIMmTaK67A6yW.nsy6IX?qid=20060619041405AAUBjRX ). Not only that but how dirty they keep everything too. You're paying more for less too compared to Disney, ticket prices are the same , but Universal can be finished in one day (including Island's of Adventure), Disney takes at least a week to experience the main things.

Walt Disney World, because you could stay there a whole month and never run out of things to do or get bored. Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventure take less than a day combined. It's a waste of money, just for a few good rollercoasters. There's plenty of great thrill rides at Disney World, as well as hundreds of attractions for everyone and anyone. Universal Studios came after Walt Disney World... I can't believe they actually thought they could compete. They're going so downhill they have to advertise that kids stay free and free car rentals, now. The only business they get is from Walt Disney World Resort Guests who come for a visit if they happen to have a spare day.

If you want to go to a theme park I suggest Islands of Adventure which is right next to Universal or Busch Gardens which is in Tampa, not too far from Orlando. Disneyworld is really just for younger kids and even so, it's ALWAYS crowded. Since it's summer IOA and the others will also be packed, but they at least have rides that kids, teens and adults will enjoy. IOA has the Hulk and Dueling Dragons. Universal is getting a bit old school, but they did just open the Mummy not too long ago and it's awesome. BG has SheiKra, Montu and Congo River Rapids. Things for everyone to do.

Disney World because no one can even come close to it!
1stly Universal doesn't have the awesome parades and nighttime fireworks spectaculars like Disney World
2nd Disney World has 4 theme parks, 2 waterparks, Downtown Disney, and Disney Quest. Universal has 2 theme parks (Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure) and citywalk. Big freakin' deal.
3rd Disney is just more magical all over, you can't touch it
4th Disney is made of VARIETY! everything at Universal has to do with movies, Disney has dealings with future worlds and other countries (EPCOT), and Animals (Animal Kingdom) and Magic Kingdom and MGM do tend to focus on the theme of Disney Movies but its still 100x better than Universal.
Geez I don't know what else to tell you but Disney really is better than Universal. I go to Disney every year and never get tired of it. I got tired of the whole Universal scene after 2 visits. And a huge misconception about Disney is that its just for kids. Well, thats so wrong. I'm 15 and my Mom is 42 and we love it. I'm starting to think she's more of an addict than me.

There is no way to compare the two. They are completely different playing fields. Both are great for different reasons. Everyone MUST visit Disneyworld - - an amazing place to visit. Universal has amazing roller coasters. So it's really up to you and your preferences. If you'll be stopping by Disney World, check out my Disney Vacation blog before you go!

Universal Studios...for some reason it looks more fun. Disneyworld reminds me of being a kid.

Both are great...if it is for adults only definitely Universal Studios, but don't forget Disney's Pleasure Island at night.

It depends on what you like. Most people say Universal is for teens and adults and Disney is for younger kids and for adults that don't like "thrill rides" but Disney is evolving and creating more "thrill rides" so everyone can enjoy Disney. I like both parks and usually check out both parks when I go to Orlando but Disney is bigger (4 parks, 2 water slides, and Downtown Disney) and there's more to do there than Universal (2 parks and CityWalk). So I like Disney more plus I just plain love Disney!!!

It depends on ages of the people going and also what they like to do. I think Universal is better for teenagers and thrill seekers. While Disney is better for younger kids and people wanting more mild rides.
I think both are a lot of fun, but I think you get more for your money at Disney.
I love Disney, so I have to say Disney, if I had to choose between the two!

Depends. They both have things for younger kids but if you want a place for teens and adults try Universal Studios.
