i'm not surprised whatsoever.

I mean take a look at just a little bit of history:

* Republican Nixon presidency - Watergate corruption; ended with proof

* Democrat Carter presidency - no corruption

* Republican Reagan/Bush presidencies - Iran Contra and World Bank corruption; ended with proof

*Democrat Clinton presidency - no corruption; never proved any of the things they accused him of - he actually was impeached for stating he didnt have sexual relations with a woman who gave him a bj because he (like a lot of men) didn't believe a bj was sex. Ironically he was impeached for this when he was answering an irrelevant question on the stand for a DIFFERENT accusation. Was a complete setup. And they never found any proof for any of those charges.

* Republican Bush Jr presidency - so far I think it's being called culture of corruption because its his entire administration involved.

What I am surprised at is that Rove is going to get away with it.

Golly! Politicians across the spectrum are corrupt! Thanks for noticing!

Look, it isn't just one party that has corrupt members. Every party and almost every administration has had corrupt members since George Washington was in office.

It's just that Republicans support the removal and prosecution of corrupt or miscreant politicians, regardless of party. I wish I could say the same for the neo-Dems.

See attached article where the leading Dems thought Clinton guilty what he was accused of in the articles of impeachment, yet still refused to vote against him. That's just sad, and speaks of a tolerance for corruption not found in the GOP.

Nothing surprises me about the Bush administration"s tendency to evade the law for political purposes.

No, I'm surprised you didn't mention this sooner, like last night, or when the news broke. What took you so long?
