Call the local lawyer referral service. You can find them in the phone book.

Lawyers, and I'm sure there's a few on the boards, don't give advice for free. Why not?

1. Because legal advice requires a full understanding of the situation - and that isn't going to happen on a website.

2. Because good advice takes time and no one works for free, at least not very often.

3. Because any professional has a fiduciary responsibility to know the client and their situation so the advice is really the right advice. That's just not possible here.

Fiduciary means legal.

4. You could still sue a lawyer (or financial advisor for that matter) for the advice given if it was wrong advice, EVEN if you didn't pay for it. Why take that risk without getting paid?
