When we see a picture of a soldier that has paid with his life, is it just another picture of a soldier, or do we really feel that we've lost a special person? We know their family has suffered a great loss, but if we think about it, so have we. So, what would you tell their families? This is for everyone, no matter what your opinion is about the war or the president. Thank you for taking the time to answer.

Go to Cindy Sheehan's site; Goldstar Mothers for Peace and find some comfort there. This war is illegal and our pres does not respect the law or he would have told the truth and gotten warrants for the wire tapping going on now....... remember the Viet Nam demos and act!!!

its hard because you dont know what to say to someone. if anything just be there, if they need anything. I recently lossed a good friend of mine (not in the war or anything) and it was the most akward thing to be in front of his parent and not know what to say. They like hugs! definatly!

I would say "Thankyou"...because that person IMHO gave his life so that I could live free, I don't think anything else would sum up exactly how I feel.

I would offer my condolences and then I would thank them for their sacrifice and the sacrifice of their loved one. I would also pray that God would comfort them.
