Yahoo High-Speed Internet - any good?

Question

I just received an email solicitation for Yahoo's high-speed Internet. RIght now, they're offering it for $12.99 a month for one year ($34.99 a month thereafter). Is this a good deal, or should I keep looking?

Yes, its good. We use it, and we don't have any problems. We used to have cable (comcast), but they kept charging more and more, and kept giving us less and less (our service kept cutting out, and when we would call they would tell us squirrels chewed through their lines. Yes, squirrels were always to blame.)

Compare it to what you are paying for dial-up now, and compare the speed.
If it's 20X faster and only 2X the price, I say darn good value.
The first year price sounds great if it's more than a basic 128K/s service (ie - 1Mb to 4Mb).
I currently pay about $46/mo CDN for 6Mbit down, 1MBit up.
That's 107+X faster than 56K meaning that an ISP would have to offer me 56K dialup at $0.43 per month unlimited to compete with the price.

I think they are tied together with SBC right? They are smart enough to use a quality ISP to attach their name to...I would check the speed if that is important to you...I can't see you getting anything more than a 256 line for that price.

truly asking on Yahoo, basically deliver digital mail to ATT Yahoo shopper provider and that they are going to respond you withing couple minuets, at maximum hours. formerly you install any firewall, verify if domicile windows-builti-in is became off!

It is just as good as any other ISP
