When it comes to your skin, every day is sun day ... no matter what the weather. Solar rays can do damage year-round, so make sure you focus on preventing harm to your skin. Since 90% of the visible signs of aging [that´s actinic aging] is due to sun exposure, use products formulated with technologically-advanced Nanospheres, and other anti-aging elements, to support skin befoRE the damage is done. There are two rays UVA (aging) and UVB (burning) UVA are the rays also in the tanning beds so be very carefull we do not want to age before time!!! UVB cause cancer, we would want to avoid these also. When you want to get a tan (not burned) do not use SPF more than 30, these contain more quemicals and help you're skin get irritated. I found these sun care products and I just love them.... the site is called http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com and you could shop online and see the online catalog.... it is safe.... also these products come with a guarantee.....The best thing is that they are botanically based and no harm will be done.....

It depends on your skin tone. If you have a darker skin tone, use baby oil. But only stay out for a little while. (No more than 20 , 25 minutes. Before you use that though, use some sort of SPF sunscreen so you won't burn.

If you are fair skinned, it will be hard to tan outside. I used to be very pale until I started going tanning. Now I am very dark and I look a lot better. There is a risk of skin cancer, though. :/

They also have all those mosturizers out there that 'change' the tone of your skin. Really, they just have dye in them, but I used it last summer, and it doesn't look orange, just make sure you rub it in good. :)

My health teacher in like 7th grade used to say (oh she was black/AFRICAN AMERICAN) You white people always wanting' to look like us...Why you want to be dark anyway SHE WOULD SAY?
Dat Jus cause you ta BURN, or worse, GET DA CANCER.
She was sorta funny.
Well she gave us a hard time about it only cause she knew what she was saying was right.
But I guess if you want to tan, COCOA BUTTER& OIL...
Oh you said and not burn you...
Really if you do not want to burn, try using a good TROPICAL TANNING oil, and do not stay out in the sun for more than a half hour to an hour on each side.
If you have no tan at all, than stick to a half hour or less to start, then stay out longer till you start to get a good tone.

I used Coppertone's dry oil tanning lotion with SPF 15. I got a tan without burning first. You might have the same results depending on your skin type and how long you are out.

sunscreen....tanning is your skins natural defense to sun exposure. In order to tan, you must dmamage your skin...that's how it works.
