lol @ you valkyrie... that really really is a very ignorant view... have you ever pierced an ear?...had sex? or even i dunno...had a cut in the pool?... then you are as likely to have any of those things as i am..... lol... funny....

Any one with common sense, and have had something pierced knows that it is sterile. They throw away the needle when you are done, and open it right in front of you. My daughter had her tongue done, but that does not mean she has TB or any other diesease. the only thing I didn't like about it was, I was worried she would ruin her teeth, by clicking the ring against her teeth.
I am a mother or four and grandmother of five, and I justt had my nose pierced. I also have a tatoo, and would like to get another one. My sister-in-law just had a tatoo put on her leg.
I look at it this way, "To each there own", It's your body and you can do what you want with it. It just means you like to have it pierced. Don't think I was hollering at you, it was that other one, that made the comment about the dieases.
Just because someone does something with their own body, doesn't make them a sick person, or following a trend. There are cultures that body piercing is there way of life and normal for them, as with tatoo's Every one expresses things differently, and some more than others, doesn't make them a bad person. It is body art. I really wouldn't care what another person thought about it, if I wanted it done, I would do it. Good luck and have a good night.

I also have my tounge pierced and my eyebrow I had my labret done but it got weird when I could spit water through my lip so I let that grow up. To me a pierced tounge just says that you like piercings and you don't listen to judgmental people that you do your own thing. Keep that up and you'll be ok :)
p.s. I have had my tounge done for 3 years and my eyebrow for 6 years this october :) nothing outdated about them either so many people judge and they never think that alot of the stuff they might do is outdated or weird. Look at yall selves before you judge.

It doesnt hurt at all, my ears and nose hurt more!
In fact all you feel is warmth through your tongue.
I passed out....why? Because i had got my body so worked up and ready for the pain that when i didnt get any it went into shock and shut down!
Its not trashy, its not dated, its not a sexual thing, its not cos "everyone else" has got it done.
Why do you wear rings? Why put on makeup? Why wear your fave pair of shoes?
Because you like it and think it looks good!
And im sure all fellow pierced tongues would agree that it becomes a part of you, and when you take it out to clean it it feels like part of your tongue isd missing

Mine was pierced once but felt I was getting a bit old for it so I took it out! My kids were starting to ask why I had it....figured I needed to set a good example, being a mom and all!
I broke a few teeth off, grinded a few teeth down....needless to say it cost me some money to fix my teeth. (I chewed on it.)
As of it hurting when I had it pierced...the actual piercing did not hurt...couldn't feel it...I could hear it going through my tongue though.
It was about 20 to 30 minutes after the initial piercing when my tongue starting pulsating and I thought I was going to die!

Sharky i am sure you are a great guy but,
it tells me that you might have T.B. and you could also have hepatitis a,b, or c. I don't think i want to be with a guy with a pierced tongue. Or pierced anything for that madder. I don't want to contract any weird diseases from you.
But its pretty sexy anyway....

I have a pierced tongue too.It says that you are not boring and have a wild side.You are not scared to experiment.makes you different.plenty people on this site will have their tongue pierced,but in day to day life I ve only come accross 2 or 3 people who have it done.

It tells me that you have metal going through your tongue and not much else. I have my tongue pierced, what does that say to you?
I've only had it for two years though. Anyway, enjoy many more years with it.
