My wife is wanting to have one and is obsessed with finding out all the pros and cons. She feels confident to go ahead with the VBAC and we are now just wanting to hear other womens success stories and if anything went wrong. Thanks!

We did it worked great. It is safer under the right conditions. If the previous incision is low the better the chances are. There is a book out on it. The worst that could happen is that she has to get a c-section at the last minute which she already had. I'll check on the book.

The book that we have is over 18 years old. There is another one called Vaginal Birth After Cesarean: The Smart Woman's Guide to Vbac (Paperback) by Elizabeth Kaufmann

I had a vbac with my second and looking forward to having on in about 4 weeks. I went into the hospital about 10 at night, by 11 the gave my potcin to induce me. The contractions are really painful, undescribable. But once I got the epidural it was nothing. At 4:44 am, we gave birth to our son. I wanted to try the vbac because when I had the c-section, it was very painful recovery and with the vbac, it was easier to get around and less painful.

My sister attempted a VBAC with her second child, but had to have an emergency c-section because her uterus ruptured during labor. Not to scare you or your wife, but she lost a lot of blood and it put her baby in distress ~ they both almost died. Fortunately, the doctors were able to put her back together and mother and baby were fine. Your doctor will be able to give you actual statistics and success rates and let you know all the risks. Good luck!
