There is no such recordable event as "15 minutes of fame", besides, fame is often a big hassle rather then a blessing. Live life with honor and don't worry about who knows because those who love you will appreciate you.

I don't believe that it's possible for everyone to get 15 minutes of fame in their life but I got it in my town. I wouldn't call it fame though and it was a truly embarrassing experience. I was at a bar downtown and when I came out to go to my car it was full of smoke. It was so thick that I put my keys in the ignition to take the windows down and clear the smoke out so I could see what was going on. The smoke poured out the windows and the air came in and ignited a big smoldering hole in my passenger seat. The flames shot to the ceiling in a matter of seconds and I told everyone to run as I fled the area. My car was soon engulfed in flames and then the explosions started. Everyone on the street got quite a show and I got to be the guy in the papers who blew his car up as a result of smoking in his car. This is the kind of town where everyone knows every ones business and I had to answer to a lot of people. What's the moral of this story?

My 15 minutes of fame probably came when I was working for the mayor of my town and I was in a commercial with him. After that every time I went somewhere either people I'd know would tell me how they saw me on TV or people I didn't know would say they recognized me from somewhere only to find out they saw the commercial. It was funny. I think I kinda got gypped though because my 15 minutes wasn't national fame.

Yeah its true. Mine was when My director asked everyone in a meeting to comment on my innovation. I got several of them positive and she suggested that the innivation be adopted and it be named after me ! I had had no prior clue that she would ask for peoples views about it in that meeting, neither did I dream that a director would suggest to name an IT solution after me.
