You are BARELY into the over weight category!
It should be easy to shed a couple pounds!
Eat cereal with fibre in it, and go walking for an hour (if you can) every day! A brisk walk! It actually helps shed the pounds quicker than running and it's better on the joints!
Like i said before you are BARELY into that category and if you are careful what you eat and how you exercise, you should be just fine!
Good Luck!

Sorry honey; that height to weight ratio is obese (on the lower side of the scale) according to the BMI (Body Mass Index).
The BMI is an international medical conventional scale for determining a healthy weight range for your height.
Please note: It does not take into account factors such as build and muscle tissue (muscle tissue weighs a lot more than fat.)
The best thing to do is get a body composition scan. A body composition scan is available sometimes form your GP or private medical centres. The scan will tell you what percentage of your actual 165 pounds is fat. A healthy amount of body fat for women is 15 to 25%.
Regardless of the information and the scales and the rest, as long as you are fairly healthly then that's all that matters!

Your not even close to being obese, your "only" 10 to 15 lbs overweight, if you go by the weight chart,( which I think is wrong because everyone is built differently.) There are many women out there with the same height and weight as you but could look heavier or thinner than you, it all depends on how your body is and how your built. If you feel good and look good don't worry about it.

your are overweight but not obese. your BMI is 26.6
and the bmi table is as follows:
BMI Weight Status
Below 18.5 Underweight
18.5–24.9 Normal
25.0–29.9 Overweight
30.0 and Above Obese
You can use any BMI calculator over the internet or you can calculate it by urself
BMI = (WEIGHT IN POUNDS x 703) ÷ height in inches²
example:
165*703÷ 66 x 66 = 26.63
good luck

it might be overweight but i dont know about obese you really need to get the body mass index chart to find out unless a doctor later answers this question but people on here are smartasses so i would just do a search and find out for my self also you have to consider muscle weights more than fat so if you have mostly muscle your going to be over the bmi by a little

I work for the military, and according to military standards you would be classified as obese. Your weight should be no more than 140 pounds and no less than 115 pounds for your height.
But, if you are comfortable with the way you look, it should not matter how much you weigh, but just remember the health risks involved with being overweight.

According to the US health charts it can be a bit overweight, but not obese. I would say depending on your frame and activity level, loosing 15 lbs would put you right on the healthy mark.

Your BMI is 26.6, which means you're just barely into the overweight category. Of course, if you have a large frame or are muscular, you could be at a perfect weight for your height.

Looks like you are overweight, or borderline obese... I used to be like that... just start exercising and lose some 15-20 pounds... you will feel much better about yourself.
