Mine! I spent years putting my friends first, and they walked all over me. Finally I came to my senses and put myself first. Now I've very happy, and they're just the same. Maybe I have crappy friends, I don't know, but I know I'm much better off!

My friends'happines without a doubt. But it takes a lot before I consider someone a friend.
For all others,my happiness comes first. This also includes people who believe we are friends when I know we're not.
Who do you call a friend? If you got more than five, provably
you have none.
However I won't be happy with decisions when I know they'll hurt others even if they're not friends.
I won't hurt anybody for my happiness, but I might upset grieve or insult people for it.
That's a price I'm willing to pay because it's not possible to live otherwise.
Whatever you do,there will always be people who don't agree or are saddened by your actions.Unfortunately if you did just the
opposite,this would be the same.
Therefore it's better to enjoy your liberty and not to try to please everybody because that's impossible

We're all responsible for ourselves. We can try to be there for someone going through a hard time but in the long run they've got to do things for themselves to be satisfied with their own lives. We become co dependant when all we do is make sure a certain person is happy and we don't take care of ourselves and our needs as well.

well i have been through alot in my life and i would have to say it is totaly up to the person. sometimes i want to say that my happiness is more impotant then i look at my huband and three kids when they are down in the dumps and then i put thier happiness frist. so like i said it all depends on the person.

If I am happy, them my friends happiness will follow. besides, are they really worried about your happiness? No, they are handling their own, which is what we need to be doing.

Everyone should be responsible for their own happiness. How can you give if you aren't happy?

depends on the situation. I would just be careful, it's not selfish to look out after yourself. I spent tons of time being taken advantage of by my "friends"
