What skype what? It is a chat and computer telephoning service where you can talk to people in different countries for free. I talk to pals in China on it all the time.

Maybe you meant to ask if anyone knows what Skype is? If so, I can tell you it's a free way to call anyone in the world with a computer and a microphone-headset. You can even look at each other if you both have cameras with you computer and also conference call with a group. I use their pay service to call land lines overseas for the cheapest rate available. It cost me about 2 cents a minute to call people in the U.S. from my European location. This rate is pretty standard if I'm calling China or many other larger nations. It's free to download.

Skype is a free program that you can download and use to make free phone calls. It's kind of like Instant Messaging or Net Meeting; a web cam lets the callers see each other.
My family uses it because we're spread all over the globe. And because it lets us conference call each other. But it's definitely a beta technology. It's glitchy, and the quality of your image and sound varies wildly depending on the speed of your connection.
Check it out though. It's probably the way of the future.
