Time is relative to each person. Scientist standardize a time based on the location set at Greenwich, England. The everyday person understands time based on the surroundings i.e. light and dark, and the way they feel when the want to know what time it is i.e. hungry, sleepy, wide awake.
The passage of time is the only true thing that matters. Specific time is not necessarily important except with experimentation.
