Portugal won all of their matches and topped group D with 9 points. Also, they weren't playing 5 of their key players in the Mexico game (and they still won!!!).
Whether Portugal faces Argentina or Netherlands (depending on todays match), I think they're gonna win because they're finally pulling through with their quality and determination....It's time to break this 40 year curse!!!

You know, I think Portugal is jinxed. Even when they reached the Euro finals against Greece, they went ahead to lose. They are not likely going to break this duck now. Other countries are playing superbly too. Argentina for starters, will prove too good for them, especially that Messi will be fit to play.

I am a Portuguese and therefore a Portugal supporter. What you say is good and SO TRUE but I will only answer this (1) three opponents down, 500 referees to go OR (2) three opponents down, POLITICS INTERFERENCE to go !! Who said that ????? Did you say that ?!? SCHOLARI the then Brazilian manager said that... and I have always believed that too. The referee decisions in past quarter and semi-final of major tournaments are a JOKE !! It might as well be politicians being the referees at the games. Do you really think that Portugal would really allow Greece to win in the Euro 2004 IN PORTUGAL "wining" against Portugal TWICE ? Did you notice that Greece ALSO won the Euro vision Song Context that same 2004 ? So what do we have here... SUDDENLY we have Greece the best singers in Europe (HUH?!) and the best football team in Europe (HUH!?) Monkey business, mate, monkey business. So I should be happy by Portugal's results so far in this WOLD cup... but I have seen all before. A SMALL country will never be allowed to wind the world cup. It is bad for business, mate !! HOW MANY SMAL COUNTRIES HAVE WON THE WORLD CUP ? Brazil ? Argentina ? Germany ? Any of these small countries ? (by small countries I also mean 'financial smal')

Portugal has a good chance of beating Netherlands. Argentina I don't think so.

Definetely!!! We played very well this first matches. And we are not afraid of any team.
As for Euro 2004, did you see the game? We just had a bit of bad luck but I`m sure it`s over now and we are going all the way...
