Although I have never bought any Jlo clothes because they are out of my price range after reading this article I never plan to in the future. Jennifer Lopez's clothes line uses fur that comes from fur farms in china where the animals (usually dogs and cats who are lost or ran away) are treated cruely and skinned alive!! Who else feels this way???

No i am not wrong and rude, you are wrong and rude for not reading the WHOLE question, because if you HAD you would not be calling me wrong or rude, I do not dislike her because she wears fur.... it's the process that leads to the fur I'm against... you probably wear fur too don't you?? or you own a fur farm.

what I meant by not having a problem with her wearing fur, is that if she found a dead squirrell in her yard or road kill and made a hat or coat out of that... then I wouldn't care... I`m against killing an animal for there skin..... and by the way, I can dislike ANYONE I like, I can dislike someone cause they have a mole on there face, or their hair is too short... :P

I totally agree with you. The killing of animals just so you can look pretty and important is WRONG! I never wear fur and do not own anything with fur on it, except my doggies, and they are not to be slayed! I also do not own anything of Jlo's, no Cd's, no clothes, not a thing, and don't plan on it. Don't worry about the replies that are downing you for your opinion. You don't have to explain anything to anyone, you are entitled to your opinion and so are they, that's kind-of the point of this YAHOO Answers page, right?
Well, hope you liked my answer :)

No one deserves to beaten to within an inch of their life and skinned alive. Not even Jennifer Lopez. This would be cruel and unusual punishment in the extreme, certainly against the law, and as far as I know, Ms. Lopez has not committed any crime. If such a thing were done to Ms. Lopez, you can bet the ACLU would not be the only ones howling about it.

If you don't like the way Ms. Lopez's clothing is made, don't buy it. Convince your friends not to buy it. Inform people of your objections to it and let people know why they might want to consider not buying it.

But don't suggest personal harm, however ridiculous, against the person producing or endorsing the clothing. How childish.

Not in Australia. Your response would be seen as grossly excessive given all you received was a slap. However, if you had a weapon, say a broom or rolling pin, within arms reach, and instinctively grabbed it and whacked him over the head with it, you would probably be ok. If you went and got a weapon from a distance away, then it's a grey area, you would most likely be charged, but may get off in court. Your lawyer would paint you as a victim and him as a woman beater. Even if it was a lie, the sympathy from the jury would most likely see you get off. If you planned revenge and half killed him at some later date, you'd be going to jail. If this happened to you, well, don't you have brothers or male friends/bf who would take care of it for you? If I had a sister and some guy slapped her, well me and the boys would take care of it for her. No guy likes a woman beater.

Does Jennifer Lopez know the story behind the furs she wears? I'm a vegetarian and don't eat any animal flesh, also, I don't wear leather, suede or any animal skins or furs. Cattle for example die inhumane deaths, in the commercial stockyards.

All fur is actually wrong in my opinion. Once man needed to wear fur for warmth, but we have made advances that no longer require us to do so. And, there are beautiful faux furs if you enjoy looking like a barbarian.

As for Ms. Lopez's clothes- I usually despise anything she markets. She is not a qualified designer, just a name used to fool people into thinking they can become her if they give her their money. But, I think I have digressed.

I don't wish to argue with you, but just because something is on the internet doesn't mean it is true. In fact, I figure that there are more lies on the internet than truth. I doubt dog or cat fur is used. Usually, the cheapest fur used for clothing is rabbit, because they breed quickly, and their fur is VERY soft. More expensive furs would be from mink or something.

OK The awful treatment of animals sickens me just like you, but there is plenty more tragic stuff happening to human beings all over the world... Is it really worth it to get your knickers in a such a twist over these animals? Have you ever eaten veal or considered how many dolphins had to die for you to enjoy that tuna fish sandwich? Meanwhile thousands of children starve to death every day across the globe... you can't go to pieces over every little thing.
