My bathroom faucet turned on three times by itself in the last 2 weeks that I am aware of. The first two times I heard it go on all by itself. I was right outside the bathroom door so I know no one was in there. I went into the bathroom and turned it off. It was the cold water that was on full blast. First time was 1am the second was at 9am? I asked my brother who is a plumber and he said it is not possible for that happen. I am on a private well so he said cannot be due to water pressure. The third time it happened my husband heard it. He said he heard thumping (like walking) toward the bathroom in the middle of the night, then he heard the water turn on. He went back to sleep with out investigating. But in the morning the water wasn't on. I am holding out for a mechanical reason. Help me debunk a ghoslty conclusion.

My first thought would have been the pressure...so, I think you've got yourself a house guest. How long have you lived there? Maybe you could be thankful it's not the hot water and that you're home when it happens (so you could turn it off!!). Good luck.

Sorry, I had some similar things that happened in my house.Do you live in an older house? You can go to your local Library and go to the land records dept. they will have info on your house. Who lived there, who died there etc. Most likely the ghost will be more of a pest rather than something harmful. The water running may have been a habit of the person who passed. they may have been a very neat and clean person. If you feel a real threat burn some sage..this will clear the air and settle the spirit. Good Luck Whatever you do, don't bring a ouji board into the home. Your just asking for trouble.

Your problem is mechanical.

It is most likely a combination of water pressure, and a faulty valve. Even being on a private well, you could have high water pressure. Your brother should check the system to see just how much pressure it has in it.

Replace the faucet, or have it repaired. You can get a repair kit for most faucets from a hardware store. heheh, don't forget to turn the water off before taking the faucet apart.....

find out the history and check about the people who lived there. It is harmless then have a spitual person came into your home and sense the place out and you will find your answer. If there is a native american church or catholic church that you can trust I would ask them. I have done things for people myself and I have the people who ask me to came they do not tell me about the situration and when I cleanse the place I feel and see it and I have them take pictures of the area and the object does show up in the picture and I will describe it to them and then I have them show me the picture. Make sure the person knows what they are doing before they cleanse your home.

woo I got some chills off that one! Sounds like its a ghost I seen some things that ghosts can do, as long as its turning the water off when its done and not fooling around with any knives sounds like its nearly harmless! Good luck-

We had the same problem at work. There was a loose screw or washer somewhere in there.
