Am I dreaming, or is an extremist as radical as Ann Coutler really on the best seller list?

Is it just me, or does anyone else find that a person this extreme in their beliefs to be a radical nutcase? Whether you are conservative, liberal, or anything in between, don't you think this kind of crap belongs in extremeist societies, much like radical Muslim societies?
I'm not claiming to have read the book, but the title, alone, speaks for itself!
Please shed some light on why a real American Patriot would buy into this radical extremism, if they would...

In a country where freedom of speech exists, there Will always be someone shouting about something that you disagree with. On the other hand, sometimes you agree. Her book being on the best seller list does not necessarily mean that people agree with her. They are just listening to what she has to say with an open mind.

Buying radical books doesn't make one a radical.

The majority of book sales are accounted for by people who want to know firsthand what the hype is about, in stark contrast to people like you who admittedly have no firsthand knowledge about the subject matter they'd like everyone to beleive they're an authority on. Believing that only radical extremists purchase radically extreme books is narrow-minded and naive. Not everyone only soaks up the local news and headlines and then tears off on tangents, showing thier a$$. It's a virtue to educate yourself on a topic before fronting on it. Take notes.

I only wish you would have shot yourself in the foot when it was in your mouth, toy. Now go back to the playground, the grown-ups are talking.

The NY Times "Best Seller" list is really (I Think) a joke. I'm honestly not sure about Left Wing book sites,(haven't seen) but I was once at Right Wing sight and became aware that if you buy (1) book at regular price you can have 4 or five others for One dollar apiece. I've since just chalked "The List" off as "another" of our good ol' American scams.

Well, this American has never heard of Ann Coulter, and really doesn't care who she is. But if Hillary Clinton-Rodham-Skyhook-Senator-from-New-York, Al Gore and Michael Moore can all produce books that squat on the New York Times Bestseller List, then I guess she can too.

Let's not forget, it's called the New York Times Bestseller List for a reason.

I don't know. I really don't. Maybe because this country is completely divided right now, one side needs to read a book in order to have fresh insults to sling at the other side. Ann Coulter is an embarrassment to America. I would say the same no matter what political party she represented.

Bush was the one that invaded Iraq. I would think a good, hard, and shrill argument is the least we can do.
I and my friends have just about gone crazy watching our beloved Country steadily slip into all the same mistakes we made in Vietnam.
Why would we go to war without even asking questions about the people we were about to invade?
Vietnam was the war to end starting new wars." How did so mean citizens fail to learn this lesson.

It all about an open society with open ideas. Even if you hate the message being delivered you should still listen. At least that's what I believe. You can never make the changes you need to make or help others do the same if you don't understand what's in their mind. But honestly... I am surprised it's on the bestsellers list.

they never would. That is one freedom most people forget about. The freedom to not acknowledge something. Like election day...
But the thing is we like controversy and I am sure she is hoping to make enough controversy to sell some books. Bottom line it is about making money and in advertising a bad image actually sells better because everyone wants to know what is so bad. Once they know it first hand then they complain about it. Kind of like the people who almost cause accidents as they gawk at accidents at the side of the road, but they would be the first to complain if someone rear ended them.

Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, etc are the balance to the opposite end of the extremist spectrum... Michael Moore, PETA, Moveon.org, Al Gore, etc (even though they're slightly farther away from the middle...)

I don't like Ann Coulter either. It's not always a smart thing to stir the pot all the time. She's controversial and offensive, so that's why she's on the best seller list. Plain and simple.
