I found out, by snooping in my boyfriends stuff, that he has a tape of he and some friends burning down a doll house. They were laughing and cursing while the little house burned to the ground. I haven't told my boyfriend that I saw the tape. What should I do? Is this normal behavior for guys? Do they like to burn stuff?

Oh boy. We used to do really stupid stuff in high school (mailbox baseball, etc), but burning down a doll house is really cruel. I would ask him what the hell he's thinking.

Burning things is a big red flag. It's a sign of other hidden problems he has. Sure, guys like fire and such, but most of them will stick to fireworks or sparklers. Guys that set fires intentionally are not normal. There's a difference here. You'll never know if you don't look into it further. You could tell him you were in the wrong by snooping through his things, but you found what you found and you can hope that he's not too angry you went through his personal effects without his permission. Or you can say nothing and keep your eyes peeled for other unusual behavior. It's also possible since he was with a group of his friends that maybe he was participating so he wouldn't be made fun of. You'll need to keep your eyes peeled to his other activities with his friends. If any other activities are like the one you described or send off that alarm in your head, get out of this relationship.

Guys love to burn stuff...One time when my older brother was 14 and I was11 he burned down my moms New wooden table that she was going to put out side in our garden... He also burned down our neighbors beach shed. He got into so much trouble. But I can never recall him ever wanting to burn down a doll house. Thats kinda weird... I would ask him about it....Just think of something that you could have been doing to be looking in his stuff. Like you could say you were cleaning or something like that and you thought it was a video of like him and his family. Something Innocent... good luck

Sounds like a nut, I would get out of before burning down dolls houses just doesn't do it for him anymore. I'd be worried he might switch to bigger and better things!

as in toy doll houses? sounds to me like he is a little on the sick side find a new boyfriend and tell that one's mother what he is doing
