well i guess that depends on what kind of swimming and walking you are talking about. If you mean just a stroll and just light swimming, I would say swimming if not then I would say walking.

Swimming relaxes you alot. First it refreshes you. Second you can swim and exercises all your stress out. Third you can sit there and let the waves run thru you while you think about many things that need thinking. Forth you can go with a group of friends and enjoy and relax, play games etc, etc.

Walking on the sand well that's it, you just walk, and think, if there is a breeze then that is the only good thing. I would definitely swim to relax myself.

depend on you Honey, if you are some how professional in swimming I think It would be more relaxing for you and if the beach is not crowded the noise of wave and feeling of sand under your feet will make you relax too

there are two major things you forget to mention.. most of us competitive swimmers will go in the ocean and start body surfing or swimming a lot.. if you just mean floating, then I would say its more relaxing than walking..

but for me to relax, its not a good idea to have me in the ocean! haha

I never have tried swimming on the beach i imagine it will be quite exhausting
