Buildings are built w/ different materials w/ different fire ratings. There are very strict fire codes and commercial buildings use all sorts of methods of fire blocking. Fire blocking basically gives the material/component a longer time to burn before it moves onto the next component.

Maybe not escape chutes but definately something. If your only way out is the stairs, but all stairwells are inaccessable, what do you do? The problem is you have to put something together that anyone can use -- not all people know how to use parachutes etc...

Not realistic. With that kind of height, you probably die on your way trying to get down. In fact, the right way is to evacuate to the top of the building if u can't get down.

Yes it would make sense but it would probably make the building ugly and unattractive. Also, whenever people would go there they would be reminded of disaster or their own mortality.

yea it is a good idea but the makers of buildings dont want to spend too much money on safety for the people.
