honestly--- everybody that wrote that this was a stupid question, should seriously go look at some others, I never said this site was a waste of time, I said that people who ask dumb questions (ie, can i walk in walmart wearing my diaper and an elmo shirt?) are wasting time. this site is for serious questions that people are having trouble with something and need help... I could care less what people think of my questions, bc I know theyre not dumb, and if they think they are-- then dont waste YOUR time by answering them... you obviously wouldnt be able to help me anyway.

I posted this question quite some time ago. Besides what you mentioned which I totally agree, I also noticed answers like,"huh?", "what?","Are you crazy". They answered in whatever they liked just for the sake of 2 points, can you imagine that? Its like as tho they are making a fool of this useful site. That was why, I even suggested to Yahoo Answers management to automatically scan and remove stupid questions and answers. Once I complained about a question and someone advised me to report my complaint under the abuse column,"report abuse". You can do that too if you find any question or answer violating the YA Community Guidelines. sometimes those questions are not stupid to the people asking them. You should be more accepting of people who are young or inexperienced!
Also, if you think this site is a waste of time and asking stupid questions is a waste of time, I think you are wasting your time.

What one person might think is stupid, another won't. The ones that really are rediculous and the person asking KNOWS it's rediculous doesn't care about points. The people answering do care about points.

What difference does it make to you if others want to "waste" their time? It is not up to YOU to decide whether someone else is wasting THEIR time -- WE each spend OUR time doing what WE want to do
