I had a short marriage of a few months. It was annulled so it is over and I want to marry again, however, I did not tell my fiance about the previous marriage because i thought annulling it meant it was null and void--never happened. when we go to fill out the new marriage license together, if i put that this is my first marriage, will that be true b/c the last one was annulled? will they find out right away about my pervious marriage?

if a marriage was annulled it is like the marriage never existed.

"the Church, after an examination of the situation by the competent ecclesiastical tribunal, can declare the nullity of a marriage, i.e., that the marriage never existed"

I think so yes.... Talk to your local court house and find out for sure either way so that you do it right and dont have to do it again later. You need to be honest and tell you fiiance about the marriage even though it ended in an annullment... Do not hide this about your past form them as it is not fair and you would want them to tell you about the past too.... Secrets are not good to keep from someone.... Especially secrets like this. This is not your first marriage. This will be your second even though the first one was annulled.

no matter either way you need to tell your fiance...but I think yes that you have to put it on there..the best thing to do would be to call the county clerks office before you arrive. Best of luck
