Philosophers and seers have been asking that for all time. Greater minds than those here have come up with many ideas and thoughts. What does it mean to you? That is the best approach.

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the maning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

The meaning of life is hard question. do u have a chronic illness? Do u suffer the lonliness of imprisonment? Do you live in a country where the risk of u dying everyday is high? Do u have more health than illness. I think the real meaning of life is taking what u got and being happy. or appreciating what u got, besides complaining about what u dont got. Somewhere out there someone is in terrible danger, hungry , sick , or lonely with no one. Th meaning of life could be we are all being tested by the man up above. To see how we do down here , we should all be ready to go to that mansion in the sky! There is someone who is worse off than u.

WARNING: THE ALIENS MIGHT VISIT YOU TO ERASE YOUR MEMORY IF YOU READ THIS.
Well, you don't think the whole universe works the way Earth does, do you? No! One species, one planet! There is a planet of deer, a planet of Asians, and so on! We put them all together on Earth and the whole universe tunes in to watch the fun!
Most of the races of Earth are descended from alien races, in order to create drama from racial tension from their unnatural cohabitation of the planet.
The purpose of our lives as humans is to entertain the life forms on other planets through the reality television show that they know as EARTH.
After 100 episodes the only reason that the show was not cancelled, the planet of earth not demolished, the sun not turned off, and we are still alive is because I blackmailed the Joozians who produce the show with some dirty pictures that Kenny took of them while they were high on blach. Now, look behind you.
This was revealed to me in
South Park, 100th episode, Season 7 - Episode 4 - Cancelled.

If it can be put in human words, it is this: "I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practise resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms, and, if it proved to be mean, why then to get the whole and genuine meanness of it, and publish its meanness to the world; or if it were sublime, to know it by experience, and be able to give a true account of it in my next excursion."- Henry David Thoreau

The wonderful thing about life is it can mean what ever you want it to! The only problem with that is that people in general think differently from each other and I cant help you with that!

Life, as the total collection of living plants and animals on earth, has no particular "meaning". A particular life, such as your own, may be ascribed a "meaning" by a religion, a nation, a family, or a person...even yourself. It takes a person to ascribe "meaning" to a life...or to anything else. There are no "absolute meanings" for persons in the world. To one person you mean one set of things; but for another person, those meanings may be quite different.
Your religion, if you have one, will tell you one set of meanings for your existence; and will offer suggestions or commandments for how to live up to those meanings. But different religions offer different suggestions and commandments, just as different persons do. You will have one meaning as a priest; but a different meaning as a parrishioner; one meaning as a Catholic; another as a Muslim. It's all relative to the context or circumstances in which you find yourself. There is no one ultimate meaning for you or for all life.
