The thing is, crop circles are made by flattening down the crop right...BUT

I watched this documentry once, which showed a length of cane or crop or what ever it is (corn?!) and you know how they have "knuckles" running along the length (about 3 on each length)

Thats the bit that is left bent.

It is physically impossible for a human to bend it on the knuckle/ball bit, if you try it the bend goes either side of it.

The only way humans can do it is to heat the knuckle up to very high tempratures, and it would be impossible to do some of the crop circles that have been found, there just wouldnt be enough time (like overnight)

A stake in the ground - tie a rope to it and walk around holding the other end of the rope outwards. More complex circles, need more stakes and more people and more planning. Make a diagram on paper before you start and you must not disturb the crop on your way in to place the stake or on your way out. The alternative way involves an helicopter or flying saucer - this is the cheapo way.

Well, the OFFICIAL explanation is now, that they are caused by 'Natural Phenomena', ie: Magnetic fluctuations, due to all the factors associated with most of them making it highly improbable to be a hoax(radiation level increases within the circles for one, molecular and cellular changes in the plants, another.)....hmm.

So says the UK government, anyway!

there are numerous ways....but the simplest is to walk in a pattern ( circle ) while trampling down the crop over and over again until it's flattened out.
