Why do the right wingers, ultra conservatives, or whatever they like to call themselves hate homosexuals?

As Christians, aren't they supposed to Love Thy Neighbor, be tolerant of others, Do unto others, etc., etc., or do they just use certain lines in the Bible to justifiy their own bigotry, then forget the rest?

Or is there some logical reason why they are trying to deny the basic rights and happiness of other people?

Well, I'm not sure if thats completely accurate. While I may lean a tad bit left on the political spectrum, I dont youre correct in this case. I think that saying all conservatives/christians hate homosexuals is like saying that all liberals are Godless Communists. Youre just trying to start a political arguement for no reason. Youre nothing more than a loser troll, eat me.

nicely, first of all, blaming truly Bush or the Republicans for the present monetary gadget truly signifies that the guy doing the blaming is clueless and willfully so. It demonstrates an immaturity of concept and an lack of ability to carry close economics or info. I have a tendency to point that out many times, thinking purely what percentage leftists are, nicely, particularly ignorant. I fail to work out how lowering the agency taxes does no longer save on with to this monetary gadget, and that i doubt you would possibly want to even attempt to describe your position logically. we are no longer averse to new thoughts, yet there is one difficulty - the Democrats are not providing any new thoughts, purely the common drained leftist vast authorities boom drivel, alongside with failed spending and tax guidelines that did not help the U. S. contained in the Thirties or Japan contained in the Nineteen Nineties. Your question is purely yet another empty and ineffective rant. that is sophomoric and lacking contained in the component which will be needed that you should illustrate that you knew what you've been speaking about. you observe, you're more advantageous attracted to scoring a rhetorical factor (which has no psychological value) than in advancing the talk, illuminating the mission or in providing any significant contact upon the answer.

Although this is often presented as an email to Dr. Laura Flanders, it probably is not. Still, it bears reprinting to those "buffet Christians" who pick and choose which of the Laws of Moses they choose to quote. Provided only as a learning tool:

Dear Dr. Laura,

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate.

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific laws and how to best follow them.

a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

c) I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

d) Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

e) I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

f) A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an Abomination (Lev 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?

g) Lev 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?

h) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev 19:27. How should they die?

i) I know from Lev 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

j) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev 24:10-16) Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help.

Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.

Your devoted disciple and adoring fan.

Christians don't hate homosexuals. They hate sin. And the Bible condems the lifestyle. God says we should flee from sin. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." -Romans. We can still love the person, but hate the lifestyle.

If they hate gays they are wrong. Even if they perceive this lifestyle as a sin they are supposed to hate the sin not the sinner. For myself I am a Christian but don't believe it is my job to judge people as long as no one is hurt. I don't believe homosexuality is a sin, it is the way God made gay people.

I'm just guessing now as I could never understand their thought process, but perhaps some sort of deep rooted homosexual tendancy (not that there's anything wrong with that) manifested as one of Anna Freud's defense mechanisms known as Reaction formation, here I've enclosed a link that explains it.

Actually, we hate the sin but love the sinner which is how we are supposed to be. We don't hate homosexuals, just their immoral lifestyle and their agenda to try and impose it on everyone else!

Same Bible you speak of also says homosexuality is a sin. So you are arguing against yourself.

This is just another rallying point for them. Abortion, prayer in schools, homosexuals all they want to do is to keep themselves in on the power structure. Just because they profess to be Christian does mean they are and God weeps------

You sound like another non-Christians trying to prescribe behavior for those that are. We don't hate gays. That's just more left-wing fantasy. Clean up your own back yard.
