Hey.
Well, I guess you need to choose who you think is the most interesting friend. I mean one of your friend may take cross-stitching as a hobby (just giving an example) while on the other hand your 'other' friend loves figure-skating... um... now that is a difference. You're writing an essay. You need to get the good marks.
Okay, okay I give in. I know it's a hard place. Kinda like you're in the middle of this mess but it's life -
And if it's no biggie, why don't you write about BOTH of your friends. Add a little fact, give or take. Everyone is different, in their own way. I have 2 best friends, and have been for the past 7 years (since gr.3) Luckily I never had to do that kind of an essay.
However, try what you think is best for you.

Combine the attributes you most enjoy about both of them - hyphenate the fictitious name - Like Amy-Jo or Sally-Mae.
Write a sloppy copy first and then a final copy - make sure to spell-check the hell out of it!

Maybe someone you look up to like your mom or aunt. Or a family member who has been there for you that you think of as a friend. That way you don't cross that line of who to write about.

write it about both. Incorporate the things you like bout one and compare and contrast it to the other.

talk to them both, tell them about the essay. tell them you like them both but don't know who to write. Then one of them should volenteer that you should write about the other.

well dunno but if only u can write about both of them cos if u write about one and the other finds out, she will be grossed out.
