Nice try....there are no odd #'s (211) when it comes to a BP. And if thats high, you probably should go to the hospital...but thats just me.

You need help now. Or you're going to have a stroke. I had a patient last night who has a history of hypertension, and stroked out at 190/100. 211/110 is no laughing matter. And Ambien isn't directly for HTN.

And digital BP monitors CAN show odd # readings.

Um....Ambien is a med prescribed as a sleep aide....I know nothing of it prescribed for hypertension....It will probably lower your BP a little because it has a sedative effect, but that effect will not last very long....I would talk to your doc for a Beta blocker, ACE inhibitor, Calcium blocker or diuretic.....THAT IS A DANGEROUS BP LEVEL

Actually, there can be odd number BP's if you are using an electronic cuff.

Ambien is prescribed for sleep.
10mg will not hurt you. They come in 5mg or 10mg tablets. You can even take 15mg with out having side effects.
As for blood pressure that is very high call your doctor.

You need to call your doctor ASAP. Blood pressure readings like the one you describe are way too high. You need to tell your doctor what you are taking and how it is affecting your blood pressure. Blood pressure this high could cause a stroke.
