I would love to fly the England flag but here in Scotland the Anti-English brigade would make my life intolerable. How do I know well it was reported in the Scottish press today a boy of seven yes! seven was punched and kicked by a grown man for wearing an England shirt, and in Aberdeen a disabled man was dragged from his car for displaying The Cross of St George and flying the flag on his car. If this happened the other way round there would have been a hue and cry. My husband went ballistic when I said I was going to fly the England flag in my plants pots. Couldn't understand why he was so annoyed with me,but, now I know why... it is utter out and out racism
To answer I would fly the Flag for ever if I didn't have others to consider. Come on the Lads.

AS the Scottish have made such a fuss of us flying it i have two
flagpoles coming off my house and they are staying there forever now.If anyone doesn't like me flying my countries flag in My country they can go back to their country and fly their own.I have a neighbour flying his Ghana flag and wish him all the luck.As for the Scott's who call us hooligans how do they justify beating up a 7 year old boy for wearing a different countries shirt??

Do you people who fly the flags realise that one pair or the wee ones on your car means you use on average a litre more petrol per hour driving on the motorway. That's about 10% extra fuel. Surely there are more environmentally friendly ways to support your team? Although i suppose at least you're not flying to Germany...

I don't have flags up but my kids where the gear and have the badges, etc. I don't like football but I don't have a problem with them liking it. I will still dress the little one in his England kits until he grows out of them because he looks so cute in them. Who cares about whether England stay in or get knocked out? It's still our country so we will always be patriotic!

I would keep it flying for a while after - still got to be proud of your country! Still they can't get much further ahead if they played like they did in the second half against Sweden.

Until one week after they get knocked out. Because, lets face it, if they play like they did in the second half last night it's going to happen sooner rather than later.

i'll probably take it down straight away if we get knocked out next game but if we lost in the final i'd keep it there for a few weeks
