What about Evil Dead? Plenty of horror and scares, and a love interest for the main character to boot!

I'm not generaly scared or even freaked out by a movie, but two that fall into that category I could suggest would be "the Red Dragon" (one of the Hannibal movies) I happened to think that was incredibly romantic. Pretty suspenseful, too. Also, "bones" with Snoop Dogg was also pretty good, although not everyone likes it. But it does fall under the category "horror", and there is a romantic subplot. I liked it. And finally, "cabin fever" although slightly more gory, also has a slight romantic sub-plot to it.

Enjoy your viewing;-)

I would stay far away from "The Ring" if you're looking for love and a happy ending -- you won't like the ending, trust me. :)

How about "The Sixth Sense?" Some people find it scary, it's fun to try and figure out what is going on, and Malcolm and his wife are trying to work out their relationship. The ending is very beautiful and moving.

Try White Noise, What Lies Beneath, and The Others. They're all considered horror films, but they're also about love between husband and wife and family.
