I had just turned 17 when I got pregnant. I was with a guy who really wanted to try to be a family so we got married and did great. We have been married 6 years and have our son whose 5 and a daughter whose 2. My husband works hard so I can stay at home. Being a mom is the easy part for me, it is just kinda hard when you look back and realize thats all you've done or been for 6 years as your friends are graduating college and getting into their careers. I never go out, don't get to buy cute clothes, and don't have much of my own life anymore, but I know my kids will be better for it later and when they go to school, then I will be able to get a bit of myself back. Until then I am going to enjoy them because they wont be little forever.

I have neices who got pg at 15 and 17. The 17 yr old finished high school early (Jan) and had the boy in Feb. He is such a great kid! The 15 yr old had a little girl. She had a tough time finishing school, and needed lots of help from her folks. She is now going to school to become a nurse and works a half-way decent job in a nursing home.
The kids are great and the moms are fine. No one is living like Bill Gates, but it wasn't the end of the world either. Yeh, there was some anger and fighting in there, but people get over it.

I got pregnant with my son at 19 and had him when i was 20! I couldnt IMAGINE having a baby to take care of any younger than that!! By the time I had my son I was already graduated from highschool AND I had my Associate of Arts degree...but that still isnt enough! I am struggling trying to pay for everything and go to school to finish my education! Believe me...you DO NOT want to try and take care of a baby while you are finishing HIGHSCHOOL!! You will have NO freedom to be with friends, your life will include going to school, coming home and taking care of baby, and then doing homework! Not to mention you will have to leave your baby with somebody (and pay them) while you are in school...! Its not worth it! Yes, children are GREAT and a gift givin to us.....but they are SO MUCH GREATER if you wait until you are financially, emotionally, and physically ready to care for another person 24 hours a day! =)
I love my son and dont regret anything about him! It would have been better for me (and for him) if I had waited until I had an established career path going...but we are doing fine. You are still way too young to have a child. It is unfair for a baby to be born to somebody that is entirly not ready! Just wait...it will be such a better experience for you! =)

I can't speak for them but as a tax payer I can speak for millions -don't! Don't be a parasite -teenage mothers become welfare parasites more often than not.
I do not respct parasites. No one does.
Stay in school wait till you are 23-24. It will be good for you, the child and the society. You will stay healthy, and will be able to provide for your child -hopefully there will be a father!
Make you living on your feet , not your back.

I had my first child at 18. I have completely devoted my entire life to my child now... If you want more for your life, continue with your education and career before having kids... enjoy being a kid/young adult while you can!
- I do not regret my kids but wish I had waited a few more years.
