Based on the annuity life cycle provided by the IRS (www.irs.gov) ... A typical Western man who works in a cubical lives an average 67 years in today's society.
I will base the equation off an 8 hour work day so you've had
(67 years * 365 days) = 24,455 days to live ... of which 4.08913332447352279697 e-5 is one day ( 1/24,455)... even less since we're only talking about 8 hours ...
However, the suck factor increases exponentially if you have Dracula or Elvira for a boss!!! In which case one eight hour period goes into the black hole where time stands still and the cubical gets 100% of you Soul leaving nothing left for you in hopes they can keep you there perpetually.

soul = spirit + morality + compassion / dispair. Each attribute is independently based and is rated on a scale of 1-10, therefore if I place my values, the equation reads: spirit (9)+morality(8)+compassion(9) / dispair(1), therefore: 9+8+9/1 is equal to 26/1. 26/1=34(soul). Any soul score below 9 means that you should get a different job. Anybody scoring below 5 may want to talk to Dr. Kevorkian.

I empathize your plight as a fellow cubist, now retired. The solution is to invade other peoples cubicles getting answers and finding out what they do. If you are a good listener, they will cover your absenteeism from your own because everyone needs a break. Hell was working next to someone who talked on the telephone loudly. You might try calling yourself and doing the same, of course talking about their questions of what your doing...above all, have fun.

All of you are so creative!
I'm sorry you work in a cubicle! I use to and it definately warps you. Take a chance and find a new job. If you feel like you're losing your soul than there is no reason not to take a chance!!
Good Luck and Cheer Up Buddy!!!! : )

I don't have an equation, I just wanted to say...
You must be having a bad day at work.
At least Yahoo asks helps pass the time.
You could always get a different job that will fullfill you and not suck the life out of you.

the equation is as follows:
hours at work+amount of boredom/ how many times you almost fall asleep x how many times you say you want to kill your boss= the % of your soul that will be sucked away.
Cheer up!

Probably much more than whatever they're paying you is worth. Life is short. If possible, go find a job that you like.
