When I was 22 I didn't care very much about cooking either. Is it looked down upon? Probably by folks with the mindset of a 14th century crusader. In my world, to each his own is a good motto to live by. As I got older I became more interested in it and I actually find it very satisfying. Since I've taken a liking to it I've created some really awesome meals and treats of all kinds. The trick, if you're interested, is to start small and somewhat simple and work your way up from there. Haven't you ever finished a project you were working on and then stood back and given yourself a pat on the back? That works in the kitchen too. Give it time...don't force it...baby steps...you just might surprise yourself...and that's always a good thing. There's a great website that I find very helpful...www.allrecipes.com...it's free and safe. Good luck and if that bug never bites you...who cares? Your man doesn't mind so live it up and enjoy...but let me warn you...it's usually the person who DOESN'T cook that ends up doing the dishes!

Unfortunately, it is looked down upon. Women are supposed to be the ones to cook and clean and take care of their man. I used to be like you--never cooked--hated cooking! My family gave me recipe books one Christmas and I actually used them! Now I cook during the week and my husband cooks on the weekends. I actually kinda enjoy it now!
I wouldn't worry about the comments. You'll cook when the times comes that you HAVE to.

What planet is your family from. Now a days both parties can choose either to cook or not.I find it a breath of fresh air if the man of the house loves to cook.My daughters fiance is a chef at a restaurant and he does all the cooking at home.So I personally do not see the problem with men being the cook in any household.

purely my opinion, yet i do not imagine that is acceptable on your boyfriend to be speaking grimy to an 18 three hundred and sixty 5 days previous. because you've been jointly for 6 years i does no longer do something too drastic, yet i might want to genuinely enable him comprehend that you do not imagine it really is suitable and he more advantageous effective reduce it out (assuming that is the way you experience). How might want to he experience in case you've been speaking grimy to a 40 three hundred and sixty 5 days previous guy? I recommend it is your relationship, yet you would pick to outline what you pick and assume from one yet another.

That will change. Even if he does cook all the time, that won't last forever.

people have this old-fashioned view that the woman is supposed to cook. if your man doesn't care then it doesn't matter.
