Getting married next month and want to know what i need to do to change my last name

Well I live in Missouri also and when you go to change your last name on important docs. they just need a copy of the marriage license. that is all you need. GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS!!!! Feel free to email me if anymore questions.

Your marriage license is a legal document that the state will accept if you want to take your husbands last name. Don't forget to change the name on your social security card also! You have to do it in person and show your marriage certificate. Congrats and best wishes!

Go to the Social Security dministration Offce and fill up and application. You have to prove then with a copy of your marriage license. You wanna do the same for your driver's license, just go to the MO DOT of our town bring a copy of your ML and they will give it to you the same day. After that, you might wanna do the same for the car insurance etc.

just go to the socail security office with you marraige certificate and you can easily do that anywhere. but you need the marriage certificate to do so.
