Has anyone ever read dark star safari by P. theroux?

Is it good? Did you like it?
don't tell me what happens... i haven't read it yet, i was just wondering what people think... so i can decide if i want to read it.

I've read it and it's darn good. Theroux started out his "travel book" writing being, in my opinion, a little too cruel and uncaring about the people he met along the way. But he's not that way anymore. "Dark Star Safari" has some memorable characters, and you can tell that the author has acquired a lot more empathy than he started out with. There are stories in that book which may well make you cry.
