In the past few weeks or so I've noticed many comparing the President of the U.S.A. to an ape and or other animals. Those of us who read and understand history knows this sends an eiree feeling from a dark past of evil. My first thoughts were when Hitler & the Nazi's did the same things with Jews & rats to an ready audience in Germany..and when the Southern Democrats showed pictures of Abraham Lincoln next to apes. The Nazi's and the Pro-Slave groups seem to have simular tactics as the Bush haters have.
Your thought's please...am I correct?

It comes down to the point that people have a hard time actually facing him on issues because the President tells you his plan, why he's doing it, and when he'll stop doing it. He provides clear, concise arguments that are hard to argue against. So if they can't beat him, they resort to name calling because that is the only thing they have left.

Let's boil it down:
1. Just because someone compares the President to an ape doesn't make them extremist.
2. Dehumanizing any person is simply a technique of persuasion.
3. You used a different technique of persuasion when you said "Those of us who read and understand history knows..." This is a disguised variant of an ad hominem remark sometimes referred to as "Right By Association." Other examples might include:
"I have observed that those who disagree with me on the next point tend to be unsophisticated, and those who quickly recognize the validity of the point to be more educated. The point is...."
"Of course there is a lot of debate on this subject, but the best scholars believe..."
4. All these techniques of persuasion have little to do with the truth and much more to do with persuading people to adopt a particular point of view no matter what the truth is.
5. Academically, dialogues which pursue the truth are argumentative rather than persuasive.
6. However, politics necessarily favor some groups and disfavor others, necessitating the use of persuasive tactics no matter which side you are on.

People who denigrate our President are just immature people who rage against a world they can't possibly understand.
However, if they want to comprehend the complex issues of modern society, they should read Ann Coulter's new book: Godless. Ann gives us a veritiable laundry list of the insane illogic and hypocrisy that has gripped our nation.

demonization always occurs in the political arena. i see comparisons made between bush and hitler all the time. i think he's much closer to hitler than an ape, but to each his own. usueally people who uses the comparison tool is only doing it because they don't have any stronger arguements. its cheap and dirty, but it is used by both sides so often it is sadly becoming the norm. karl rove is a master of demonization... so don't go thinking it's only the leftwing people doing it.

All humans have a look similar to apes, that's how the idea of evolution started. I would however suggest that they are saying he is acting like one (though as a rule most apes are far more civilized than most humans).

It comes from the inability to understand why Bush would do the things he's done to our citizens and this country. Although it is childish, I can see why they'd feel this way.

My guess is none of these people are actually educated and didn't vote. Which makes everything they say a waste of time.

You are correct.
They can't critisize him on anything he has specifically done, so they tend to generalize, or resort to name calling.
I can even critisize him on something. I don't like his immigration ideas. I understand his point on them, but I don't agree with them.
