Never to old. Do it!! Thats why they have different classes to race in. If your racing dirt they even have a class for vets. (40+) They prob have the same for street. Have fun. Check out this site. It may have the info your looking for.

It depends on what type of racing: track or dirt. Most professional racers today are very young because their parents got them into it when they were kids. My advice would be to get a used bike and go to the track days at your local tracks. If you are into road racing a good site to check out would be www.wera.com. Some road courses even offer weekend courses where you can train with former professional racers. I'm sure there is probably a dirt track equivalent out there somewhere. My main advice is ....keep the racing for the track or the dirt...not the street!! Good luck and ride safe! :-)
