The only reliable way to find somebody else's password is to ask them.

Anything else is illegal and ineffective.

You could try guessing over and over, but I'd expect Yahoo! would at least record your IP address if you did so. That means they can track you down.

Most sites will lock out a user if the password is done wrong more than a certain number of times. From then on, even if you get it right, it'll tell you you're wrong. This is to prevent guessing.
