I need to lookup a hotmail address to see who it came from. How do I do that? Or - how do I do an ISP trace? I need to see who is sending harrassing emails. Thank you.

IP trace.... go into your msn mail box, click options (top right corner) select mail, then mail display settings, scroll down to message headers and click on advanced, then ok. Now go to the email you want to trace . The last recieved IP number is the one you want, go to www.dnsstuff.com and paste the number into the WHOIS look up. Hope this helps

The absolutely free reverse email lookup sites generally provide false information, they just want your email to send you spam. To get real information, money will have to be paid.

Also, stay away from shady reverse email lookup sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse phone lookup site like http://www.emailtracer.org that has been around since 1997.

If you are using Outlook you can go to View then Options a box will pop up below with the trace that your email followed. This would be correct when the sender is honest. If the software is flawed, the sender can change it.
