It is a difficult question with many answers. 1. Ballet is something better to start young with, but if you have gymnastic experience or are otherwise physically able you can. 2. Are you looking to be a proffessional dancer? Exotic? The answer is yes, as long as you are fit enough to do so.

Sure, you *can* be a dancer at 20. But professionally, to be just starting out at 20, may not work out too well. Sorry!

yes and no i have been a dancer for about 12 years and i started when i was 8 years old... the older you get the harder it is to keep up and felixing and strecthing becomes a bit harder but it can be done and if you really have a love for it it will come out naturally.

You can be an exotic dancer when you're 18...that's the legal limit in America. Hope to see you "around the pole". :)

yes! except for ballet...i'm a part time salsa dancer and i'm 20;my ex-dance partner is 28

Absolutely you can. Make sure to find a school that has a special class for adult/teen beginners so that way you aren't in a class of a bunch of young children.

yes, i would suggest looking for a local studio and sign up for a few classes.... i've been dancing for almost 13 yrz and i also help instuct at a local studio.... .. we see new peopl all the time

No one can stop you from trying, and when you try you'll see how it goes. I think it's possible, especially if you want it really bad AND you have talent!
