At LEAST try to take ONE day out of your week to just hang out with friends. You need to find a balance, and yes, work will have to be added to the things that need to be balanced.
Remember, you drop dead tomorrow, someone else will be in that job, doing the same thing you are doing. Keep your priorities straight.

It is always fun with a new job but you have to guard against being a workaholic. Often the boss will think you are incompetent if you spend to much time at work. As one who spent 12 to 14 hours a day working for along time I know it is not worth it. Become great at your job but know when to call it a day. Life is more than getting a paycheck and often you miss too much of it by slaving away at work.Take time for You and do stuff that lets the steam off. Slow down and enjoy life instead of beating your head against the wall. Everything Will work out if you give a good effort and are qualified for the job. If you have taken on more than you can do comfortably then the future will only produce failure. Know your capabilities and do not overstretch your abilities.

Sounds to me like you should quit your job and just learn to manage money better, with good money management you would be able to live happy without a job, and you would have so much more time. A job (normal one anyways) don`t usually pay any where near enougth to make up for the time you lose.

Set your priorities and stick to them. If your job is that important, your friends should understand. Maybe try taking a few minutes each afternoon to call them up just to say hi ... and that you miss them. If they're really your friends, they'll understand that you're just following your dreams. But if their friendship is valuable to them, at least let them know that you still care and you'll always be there for them if they REALLY need you.

You are going to stress yourself out. I am in the same boat with work kids family etc...All of my friends are single and do not have kids. They call and ask can you do this or that. No No No. We decided to schedule a date almost. We make plans and stick to it about once a month or so. They need to understand you are only one person

Responsibilities to all will never go away, their will always be something to do and some one to worry about. That's life.
Balance the best you can and don't feel too bad. You don't mean to neglect, you need time to yourself too. Don't forget to take care of youself as well as those around you.
Good Luck!

Relax. You have a new job, it will take time to adjust your schedule and for your friends to realize that your not there all the time. But, soon you will all adjust and not even remember this time.
