Not all do. Ever see the commediene Monique (Sorry about the spelling, she has a creative spelling of her last name)? Her self esteem is very high and she is able to laugh at herself. Her last movie Phat Girlz was funny but also carried a very important message that it is not what a person looks like but how he or she carries themselves. I highly encourage you and other people to see this movie.

I am an overweight woman and I generally do not feel bad about my stature and look, I am still very attractive and my husband loves my rather large rear-end. I do know for health reasons I am going to need to lose the weight that I gained from quitting smoking

I Believe its because they are not happy with themselves. They want to be something they aren't. And don't have the will power to watch what they eat, and do more exercising. One day they will, or they will learn to Love Themselves For Who And What They Are. Even If It Takes Seeing A Doctor For Help. Overweight ~ skinny ~ Doesn't Matter ~ All People ~ Man or Women ~ Have To learn To Love Themselves First......Peace.

Because society sees us as fat and lazy---when the truth is some just can't help there weight. I am happy with how I am---but most woman my size are not---I don't know how many times I have been told lay off the sweets and junk food---the truth is I don't eat much junk food and I don't like sweet foods---but the doctors say I am very healthy for my size---so I say just be happy with you. I am now and it makes me a better person for it. I just iggore others comments about my weight---they don't know me that well.

Because we are a society obsessed with being thin. Hollywood, magazine, even most men look down on a fat woman as being smelly, ugly and has no self control. But of course, fat men are jolly. Go figure.

because there are plenty of skinny girls around to lay the pressure on. i attend usc, and there are very few overweight females... and the fewer the numbers -- the higher the stress builds on the 'special' handful. no one wants to be the 'fat friend' and when you are-- im sure it sucks.
societal pressure is really stifling -- and it's everywhere. just look at our avatars. not one fat person -- its not even an option when youre creating one.

Trust me, there are a LOT of beautiful women out there that do not feel very good about themselves.
Society may base a womans worth on her looks, but don't let society dictate your behavior.

because society tells us that to be beautiful and what not, you have to be thin, anorexic thin, and tall and probably blond
which is ironc because a while ago, were talking a couple or a few centuries, for a girl to be skinny or thin was a sign of shame, it showed that the family did not have enough food on the table, or that the girl could be sickly

Not all of them do. Some of them may have enough confidence to like the way they look, while others may like themselves but know that others are judging them based on their weight, and that makes them feel bad. Or maybe some of them know they are overweight and don't like it and aren't comfortable being that way, but it's really hard to change.
