Chuck Jones directed a ton of Warner Brothers cartoons. I personally remember him best as the creator of the really awesome version of the cartoon Tom and Jerry, the one that the Simpsons' Itchy and Scratchy is modeled after.

the only famous Chuck Jones I know is a (many think the best) director of the Looney Tunes cartoons. He also directed several Tom n Jerrys as well as the Grinch cartoon and others. He has an excellent autobiography called "Chuck Amuck!" (in tribute to one of his most famous Daffy Duck cartoons--Duck Amuck) His most famous Looney Tunes are "What's Opera Doc?" and "The Rabbit of Seville."
