Yes, my family & I, all had that same problem. Just go and buy Midol, PMS! It works, great! And avoid chocolate, or sweets, as much as possible. For some reason, they enhance the pms, and make it worse. I'm going through perimenopause, now. Thank-God! Because, I heard, "Perimenopause" helps, lighten all the bad effects, of the real deal. Actual Menopause. Perimenopause is long spaces, months, of not getting your period. But, you've actually not gone through menopause, unless you've missed, for a full 12 months. I was informed. And I do still menstruate, about every 5-6, months, and I'm too young to even be going through Perimenopause! But, I'm not alone, my sister, who's 14 months older than me, is also going through it! Good-Luck! I know what its like, trust me your not alone!

PMS is exceedingly common, occurring in 75% of women of reproductive age during their lifetime. A more severe form of PMS is premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). This occurs in about 5% of women. Both are characterized by symptoms of mood swings, depression, anxiety and irritability that occur prior to menses, usually in the two week period between ovulation and menses. It is often accompanied by physical symptoms such as bloating and cramping.

Diagnosis of PMDD differentiation from clinical depression and anxiety disorders.

Treatment usually begins with lifestyle modification. Reducing caffeine, sugar, and sodium intake may help. Supplements of vitamin B6 and calcium carbonate have been shown to help alleviate some symptoms; calcium carbonate should be taken in doses of 1200 milligrams a day. Exercise will help reduce depression and anxiety symptoms. Keeping a symptom diary will help cue sufferers to exacerbating and relieving strategies.

Prescription treatments include fluoxetine (Prozac), sertraline (Zoloft), paroxetine (Paxil), and citalopram (Celexa). While commonly described as the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, several drugs of this class (such as fluoxetine) have been demonstrated to increase the bioavailability of the neurosteroid allopregnanolone by altering the metabolic favorability of the reaction.

Traditional herbal treatments include Vitex (Chasteberry), Evening primrose (Oenothera Biennis), red clover and black cohosh[citation needed]. There is some clinical evidence that these do indeed remedy the symptoms of PMS.[1][2] [3] Herbal treatments may work by stimulating the pituitary gland, or by effects on dopamine or opioid receptors.

That seems a little long to be experiencing PMS, maybe go and see your doctor. On the bright side, PMS is a great excuse for acting completely irrationally though. Enjoy!

Talk to your doctor, sometimes getting on birth control can help with that. If you dont want to go that then just get enough sleep, exercising sometimes helps and there is Midol made for PMS symptoms.

Yes I do! I hate it, even about 2 days after my cycle has ended I can still have swing moods;( I will do something that isnt so stressful, play pogo games, or answer yahoo questions or go for a walk.

I get the impression that a lot of women start PMSing immediately after birth and it just goes on from there. I'd say you're ok then.

Eat ice cream and chocolate and fattening stuff to make you feel better. Yell at a man (I am one so I know it works) and make hime feel completely inadequate/irresponsible... Then drive around town yelling profanities at people and making rude gestures while you drive...
