Although I'd love to say Donovan McNabb, the most overrated player is Michael Vick. I have never seen a player with more pre-draft & post-draft hype and less production. 5 years in the league now & very little to show for it. He's got a cannon for an arm but bad, bad accuracy. When he's running, he's deadly, but it's not equating into very many wins.
(How come whenever someone asks for "the most" etc..., everyone feels the need to answer with a top 10 instead of their "most" ___ ?)

Michael Vick is always overrated in the NFL and fantasy football. Yes, he has the explosive potential to do something that we've never seen on a football field, but he is a RB playing QB. Don't get me wrong, he would probably be a top 5 RB in the league if that is the position he played, but he just doesn't play the QB position well. Great NFL talent, not so great QB talent. Of course Vick has yet to have a single good WR and the only good receivers of any sort that he has had are Crumpler and Dunn.
Another highly overrated player is Jeremy Shockey. Good rec #'s, but very few TD's.
I do disagree strongly with Chad Johnson being overrated. Last year was the first year that he got the respect to correlate to his talent. Yes, he gets a lot of publicity due to his endzone celebrations, but a WR that averages over the last 3 years 94 catches, 1354 yds, and 9 TD's (with 2 different QB's) is no where near overrated.
Also, the clown that said Darko is overrated is just stupid. The point you are trying to make is that he is UNDERrated. When "trying" to be funny, at least type what you meant to say.

I have a surprise overrated player: Ray Lewis. He's only as good as the defensive line is. He whined and complained when he wasn't getting enough sacks because his D-line wasn't creating the holes for him to get through. He's good at stopping the run on the outside, but he's still sucks if his line sucks.
Also, just about any receiver is good if he has a good QB. If you look at all of the top WRs in the league, they are only good when they have a good arm getting the ball to them. Marvin Harrison-Peyton Manning, Chad Johnson-Carson Palmer, Steve Smith-Jake Delhomme...all the same. If these guys were playing with Tim Couch as their QB, they wouldn't get the yards.
Ben Roethlisberger gets my vote, though, as the most overrated. He's smart and can scramble okay, but 180 yards a game when you have two pretty decent WRs out there that can get you a lot more yards, that just doesn't cut it. Did anyone notice how he acted in one of the Steelers-Bengals games last year after he broke his thumb? He was throwing the ball really well, but after a couple of bad throws, he started flexing his thumb and acting like it hurt him all of a sudden. How convenient. You made a bad throw, everyone does sometimes...get over it. Your thumb isn't hurting, you're just looking for an excuse. Without Bettis and Randle-El, the Steelers are not Super Bowl champions. Big Ben means nothing.

It has to be Michael Vick. All people want to say about this guy is that he's unstoppable but evidently he is. He never won crap in college and will never win a super bowl. For 1 main reason. Primarily running QB's don't win super bowls. They just don't, look at history and name one QB who was a Run first QB and won the big game (Steve Young isn't in that category he was a throw first QB who could run). So my answer is MICHAEL VICK
Oh yeah T.O. is not overrated he's the best WR in the NFL he's just such a ******** nobody will give him credit. I hate him with a passion but the guy is unbelievable.

Shaun Alexander, no doubt about it. I mean come on, I could have broke the TD record too if I got as many carries as he did inside the 20. I think there are at least 10 running backs who play with so much more intensity than he does >>> Dunn, Tiki, LJ, LT, Portis, Edge, Cadiallac... just to name a few.
