I haven't used this handheld PC (C140) for a few years, but want to now. Installed the H/PC Explorer software on my Win XP PC for syncing the H/PC and desktop PC, but there seems to be a compatibility problem -- Can't get the H/PC Explorer to run on the XP machine. Suggestions? Recommendations?

I perhaps wasn't clear. I don't want to run XP on the handheld. I need to be able to sync the handheld with my XP desktop machine. Does this mean I need to upgrade to Win CE v. 5, or is there another route I may take?

Office XP and Windows CE Compatibility

When participating in a On-line demonstration of the new Office XP from Microsoft Studios, I asked about the compatibility of Office XP with Windows CE, especially with the older versions of Pocket Word and Excel found in Windows CE 1 and 2. At the time, during the live on-line broadcast, they didn't know but the presenter, Cleve Kingston promised to find out on my behalf.

A couple of days later I received an e-mail from Cleve, showing that my question had been passed on to Bobby Moore from the Windows CE team. Mr More replied to me the next day stating that the basic functionality within Office would still work fully in version of Pocket Office.

one situation you are able to in all likelihood attempt first is a device fix, For any Compaq made in the final couple of years all the documents mandatory for a device fix are on a separate partition on the no longer trouble-free force. on the compaq exhibit screen it is going to say to press f10 to do a device fix.

Ok, these units came with like 4MB RAM and are only a P133.
Even if it COULD run XP (which t can't), would you even want to?
It'd be way too slow even if it was possible and the thing had enough RAM.
