What should I expect when getting my tonsils out? How long will I be sick, is it safe to be put under (to sleep), is it a quick surgery, how will I feel, how long till I start feeling better? Just what should I expect? Thanks!

the drs staff should tell you all this. safe as anything else invovling general anesthesia. Helluva sore throat for a few days. if young be up and around in a day or two.
