Do we get bored in peacetime?

If we had no real enemies, would we invent/invoke provoke them into existence to confirm our status and prowess as warriors.

Do we need to kick *** wether that *** needs kicking or not?

Good question. I'm not a man but i do suspect that being they think in straight lines of thought ,anything in the way is seen as a hurdle. some push at it some hit it some know how to leap over some just stay grounded with gravity's pull and can not let go of frustration. a woman thinks in curves for the most part and they kind of circle the camp grounds. Thanks for the open question.

Conflict is a basic survival instinct.
If the tribe living upstream ruins the water for the tribe living downstream conflict will happen.
Also the cause of the last war on earth will be about the human basic need of drinking water.

Not all wars are because they just want to.....first of all:
Better economy during war and in some cases [like Hitler] war is necisarry to take out a mission...you cant convince a man with everything he wants to give it up "for the peace of the world"...just like Iraq...there was no way we were going in there and "talking" to Hussain to give up......it is just how things work....to get something done you have to use force

That sounds similar to the argument that if a society had no criminals it would make laws just so it would have criminals. Essentially, if we had no bad, we wouldn't have good or a way to value ourselves.

Now, my answer for the war drive. Man has a drive for war, conflict, opposition, etc as long as other people exist.

Most wars are waged over disputed territory, and we are territorial creatures. A need? I'd say "No". But more like an instinctive/atavistic urge to claim property no matter what it takes . After all, we're all derived from squatters.

We need war just as much as we need the id. Psychologically speaking, everybody is three parts. Id is always gonna want more than it has. Conflict is the inevitable result, hence war.
As to your questions; I'm certain my answer says "YES!!" to all of them.
