I recently got married, and we've been arguing about wether I should change my last name to his. I happen to love my last name, it's very unique and it suits me and his just doesn't sound right with my name. How do I make him change his mind about it with out hurting his feelings?

well ,.. i dont see anything wrong with keeping your last name,.. its yours! its a part of you and it has been for a long time,.. look,.. whether you change your name or not it does not mean tha tyou care and love your husband any less,.. amybe he needs to be reminded of that,.. and while you are at it remind him what year we are living in,.. !

Compromise with him offer to hypenate both of your last names. Even though its not traditional way he should add your last name with his too. I feel the same way about my last name too. But my husband to be will know this before we get married.

Well if you feel very strongly about your last name, then you should keep it. If your husband REALLY loves you then he wouldn't care. If you really wants you to have his last name then hyphenate it.

you both made the mistake of not discussing this before you got married, hopefully you discussed other issues like kids and goals before you said "I DO"!
FYI, there is no law that says you have to change your last name...
